New Bill in California

Compatriots

On January 3, AB1600 was introduced into the California Assembly.  This bill is to set up a California Commission for America 250. The bill can be read online or in PDF format by clicking the links below.

This is very important to the California Society as it lists a representative from the California Society on the Commission.  California is one of only a few states in the Union that lists a representative from SAR.  This is something to celebrate and be proud of.

Yet, AB1600 has only been introduced, it has not yet been voted on.  In order for AB1600 to be a reality, to be law, California Legislators will need to see this is something that the people (you and I) want.

Our patriot ancestors fought with musket and sword to forge this great nation.  To continue its heritage, we only have to fight with pen and magnetic ink.  Like the Minutemen of yore, we need to respond NOW to our representatives informing them that we strongly approve of AB1600, that we are passionate about the many patriots that fought for independence, and that we believe having SAR on the California Commission will help ensure our state keeps that Revolutionary War history alive.

Please write (best with higher impact) or email your support today to your representatives.  Search for your representatives by clicking the link below. Be sure to contact both your Assembly and Senate representatives.

Contact John R Ferris, Co-Chair, America 250 SAR with any questions.
